We Offer Long Term Courses

Our workforce courses emphasize applied learning and real-world skill development — designed to help participants build, refresh, or level up their career skills. Each program combines guided instruction with hands-on projects that result in practical skills and portfolio-ready work, spanning physical products, interactive games, and immersive digital experiences.

As a proud recipient of the Catalyst Grant, Open Innovation Centers can offer these expanded courses at no cost to early learners. Our courses align with industry credentials and digital badges, validating real, job-ready skills while providing portfolio work to take into new roles or advanced career paths.

3D Bootcamp: Digital New Collar Master Technician Certification

Earn a New Collar Network 3D Printing Technician Master Badge and prepare for a well-paying and fun career. Today, 3D Printing and other digital fabrication tools are used at dental offices and hospitals, aerospace, manufacturing, art and jewelry studios and other entrepreneurial pursuits.

In this intensive 12-week, full-time, immersive learning experience you’ll be prepared for high-demand jobs in this emerging field. Most importantly, we’ll also be facilitating pathways for you to employers who need these skills.

Explore Game Design: Getting Started With Unity

Take your first step into game development with our foundation course, Getting Started with Unity. Whether you’re brand new or curious about turning creative ideas into playable experiences, this 8-week program is designed to guide you from beginner to builder.

From Inspiration to Implementation

Through project-based learning and guided instruction, this couse will cover the fundamentals of game development through the creation of simple, playable projects in Unity. Along the way, you’ll gain experience with industry tools, prepare for the Unity Certified User: Programmer exam (fee included), and connect with a community of learners—all while exploring whether game development is a path you want to continue.

Tracy Pitch Events

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with the City of Tracy to launch OIC Incubator Pitch Events exclusively for Tracy residents.

This initiative will bring quarterly pitch events to the community, giving local entrepreneurs, innovators, and aspiring founders the opportunity to present their ideas, gain exposure, and compete for support.

Through OIC Incubator, we’ll help you develop, refine, and prepare your idea so you can confidently step on stage and make an impact. Whether you’re starting from scratch or already building something, our program is designed to guide you every step of the way.

Economic Development Programs with OIC Incubator

In partnership with San Joaquin County WorkNet and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), OIC Incubator supports aspiring entrepreneurs in San Joaquin County who want to explore launching a business—or refine an early idea.

No prior business experience or fully developed concept is required, and participation is offered at no cost.

Participants gain access to mentorship, hands-on guidance, and pitch opportunities, with the chance to earn grant funding to help bring new ideas to life.

Learn Together Program

Build Your Computer Skills Through Our Digital Literacy Program

Learn the essential computer skills you need to feel more confident at work, in school, and in everyday life.

Learn the Fundamentals and Receive a Chromebook

Our Digital Literacy Program is an eight-hour course designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of using a computer. You’ll receive guided support as you learn how to navigate a Chromebook, use the internet, manage files, communicate online, and complete common digital tasks.

After successfully completing the program, participants will receive a Chromebook at no cost.
